CHELSEA KEAULANI - HAWAIIAN-BRITISH b. 1990- is a Honolulu-born, Bay Area raised designer. Chelsea Keaulani established her eponymous label in Santa Cruz, California in 2020. It has evolved from individually edited multimedia collections to collaborations with international brands. Her authenticity and commitment to living a life between the coast and city have inspired the creation of collections with underground cult credentials. In addition Keaulani is a rising consultant and collaborator in fashion working with international streetwear and sportswear brands. Chelsea Keaulani is inspired by her Hawaiian-British mixed heritage and high-low culture between the coast and the city. Family, mixed cultural heritage, and collaboration around high-quality textiles is at the heart of the brand. Chelsea Keaulani’s unique aesthetic is informed by an investigation of identity, silhouette, and textures blending high and low subcultural contexts using innovative and boundary-pushing approach to design to ignite streetwear.
